The girls have been going to a local dance studio, Love To Dance, since September. They have been working so hard each week on their dance recital. Caleigh's class danced to Vanilla Ice's, Ice Ice Baby. Bella's class danced to the theme song from St. Elmos Fire. They performed on the "big big stage" down at the Joan Kroc theatre, near San Diego State. Both shows were SOLD OUT (600 seats). I was a little nervous for the girls...if it'd all be too much-the lights, the people, etc...but nope, didn't faze them one bit! It was SO cute! I was so impressed with all the dancers, routines, costumes...the whole production. It was really professional and top notch.
Of course, I start crying right when I hear Bella's intro music (she performed first). Just so overcome with pride for these girls. Caleigh's number stole the show..I mean come on...its Ice Ice Baby...with a bunch of 3 and 4 year olds! :)
I am so so so proud of my girls. Today was a very special mommy day for me.
Of course, the first thing they asked me was, "Can we pleeeeeeasse do that again!?"
