Pink Palace

The four of us went to Oahu for a week.  We chose to go now, because we found some great deals and figured with me being in my second trimester, this would be a good time...without being too big and uncomfortable.

We picked a GREAT week.  It rained the week before and it was sunny and 80 ALL week.  Awesome awesome weather!  This time we stayed at the Royal Hawaiian.  Everytime we've been to Hawaii we (well mostly me), marvel at the"Pink Palace" and hope to one day stay there. Well it was beautiful and lovely...but not the most family friendly. They had a dinky pool, but you could share the Sheraton's pool next store-which had waterslides, etc.  We swam at the Royal Hawaiian pool for a bit, but Bijan and I were so stressed out trying to keep the kiddos quiet and not disturb the sunbathers. Kids eat free for breakfast and lunch at one of the restaurants...which we thought was cool.... until we had $28 pancakes.  Ooop...one and only time we ate there.

We went for a suite-cuz for us its just not a vacation if we have to sleep kids in the same room. Bummer-no pull out sofa's in the hotel so the girls slept on the floor in the other room for a week!  They didn't seem to mind....but still...

The UPs of the Royal Hawaiian...the girls marvelled and all the things that were PINK.  Beautiful hotel with that old colonial Hawaii feel.  We were right in the center of all the action...And of course, the beautiful beach just footsteps away..
