Swap Meet

So Samantha and I have been going to the Baby Swap Meet for YEARS now. Its our little twice a year tradition.  Twice a  year we hunt for bargains, buy all kinds of random CRAP, buy way too many shoes, way too many toys.  The best find was a pottery barn table set for $50 that Sam encouraged me to buy. Well, this year we SOLD at the swap meet.  Between the two of us, we had enough articles of clothing to fill a store!  :0 )  We each made several hundred dollars...and we didn't even shop while we were there!

Circus Vargas

The circus way exeeded my expectations!  Sure, it was super random...but also some really talented performers!

SD zoo

Our most current trip to the San Diego Zoo...

24 weeks

Thought I'd post a picture of this growing belly....24 weeks.

Art Soup

Caleigh wrote her name!

Read about this place in Encinitas called Art Soup. Its pretty cool.  There is a car for the kids to paint, chalkboard areas, white boards, painting and a craft area.  The girls made spaceships and binoculars.  A pretty cool spot to check out.  Fortunealty we got there before a playgroup came rolling in...glad we didn't arrive at the same time, otherwise it'd be pretty crowded.

Silly Girls

No, not Halloween...just silly little girls wanting to wear their wonder women costumes out and about.  Just a Sunday...with a stop to Costco, Ikea...the more places we went the better, as far as the girls were concerned. :)

Kindergarten!

Registered Bella for kindergarten today. EEEEK!!  Last week was an orientation for newbie parents. Wow, what a beautiful school and as a former kindergarten teacher I can really appreciate the beautiful classrooms, the masses of colored papers and markers, the killer teacher workroom-with all kinds of supplies and gizmos. Wow, would love to teach at that school!  The principal informed us that numbers were high for the upcoming school year-that our kids may or may not be placed at their home school.  If needed, lottery would be in place to get your spot in school.  Geesh.  Not to mention all the papers and forms to fill out...dental records, doctor records, certified birth certificate (which I had to go downtown to get).  I was number 33 today at registration.  Who knows if that'll mean jack in the big scheme...but i did my best to get Bella in.

I am not even going to touch on bloggin about my baby going to kindergarten...we'll save that for another sappy entry. But she is sooo excited.  And so ready. (but am I?!?!)

Family of Four

All and all, a great great great vacation indeed.  Our family of four had a blast. I am so very proud of the girls and what great travellers they were.  Hard to believe this is our last biggie trip as a family of four. Next Hawaii trip,we'll have one more traveller in our family. :)

Pool Time

What is it about kids and pools? Seems as though they could spend hours and hours and hours there!  Of course, we had lots of pool time scheduled in our vacation!!

Teddy Bear World

On the flight over, Bella was flipping thru the Hawaiian Air magazine and saw and ad for Teddy Bear World.  She asked me a couple questions about it...what is it, where is it, and eagerly showed Caleigh the ad. When we were walking around town, what do we see....thats right, TEDDY BEAR WORLD.  The girls gasped when they saw it.  They beggggged us to take them there. B and I had no idea what it was...we went in to inquire.  $15 per adult, kids under 4 free.  All these teddy bears dressed up in different outfits and all random teddy bear stuff.  Seemed pretty pricey to us...so we tried to put it off a few days, to see if the girls would forget about it.  Uh....no, they didn't forget. They asked us every day if we could go.  We saved it til our last night...found a coupon and took em.  Definelty would not add it to the must do in Hawaii list.  Here's a tip...don't let your 5 year old flip thru the HAir magazine!  :)
(Buuuut, have to admit, the girls LOVED it)
