Sunny Days

We have been having some incredible weather this week.  Took the girls to Del Mar.  Spent several hours there...playing in the sand, making sand castles, collecting sea shells, picnicing.  Love those girls.  Love love loooove those girls with all of my heart.  They make all my days so sunny.

4D

We took the girls (and Omi, Nana, and Grandpa Stan) to see a 4D image of lil Baby Bijan.  (Bijan being the last name, not the first) :)

There was this huuuuge room with a monster screen to view the baby.  Had a big ole couch in there and even a playroom full of toys for the kids to play in.

Bella was watching the baby the entire time.  Caleigh would check it out, and then go back to playing in the playroom.

We have had a lot of ultrasounds during this pregnancy, so no major surprises.  The technology is amazing....hard to believe you can see all that, we even saw that HE had hair!  Crazy.  Definetly not an alien like baby growing inside of me (you know, when its early on, the baby looks...well....alien like).  He is full, and chubby with big ole cheeks. He opened and closed his eyes and mouth...crazy.

his mouth is open
there's our lil boy!!!  :)

Happy Easter

Had a great Easter weekend.  We did a lil egg hunt with the Boyd Family.  So cute to see how thrilled the girls were with finding the eggs and going thru their loot...felt like Halloweeen, when you check out what candy you got..

Headed to Del Mar for lunch and hanging on with the fam...always one of our favorite spots to go.

Enjoyed the sunset up on the balcony while we had dinner...
Headed up to OC to see mom, Lurias, more Bijans, Sadeghis, Cavanaughs...great to see everyone and of course the girls had a blast playing with their cousins.

Enjoyed the sermon at church today...the message was about getting from point A to point B...and being stuck in the middle.  How to get unstuck...surrender to God and trust in Him.  Put some things in perspective, for sure.  A lot of talk from the girls this Easter..regarding Jesus, the cross, the resurrection....pretty powerful to hear a 3 and 5 year old talk about Jesus and his power.

99th percentile!

We had an ultrasound today...28 weeks.  Looks like we are going to have a big baby.  He is in the 99th percentile for size.  His head and body are measuring 2 weeks ahead and his tummy is measuring FOUR weeks ahead!  This lil guy may not be born so little afterall.

Of course the first question was if I passed my screening for gestational diabetes...and yes, I have.  So no, don't have it.  If I did have it, it might better explain this enormous baby in my belly.  I asked the dr what all this means...is there any threat to the baby? He said no, some people just have big babies.  Right now, he is 3 pounds 10 ounces.  I already know I am having a c-section (since I have already had 2), so I know I won't have to deliver that watermelon!!  :)

The tech was talking 9 or 10 pounds....the doctor was talking 10 PLUS pounds!  Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Kinda freaking out!  I asked him what the largest newborn he's seen....and he said a 14 lb baby.  Crazy!

Vegas!

We headed to Vegas again this year with the Boyds along with another set of Boyds and the Clinks.  Had a GREAT time!  The first night, we went to Aeroles at the MGM (why would you name a place to close to the name of a nipple!? geesh). Then we went our own ways..the rest of the crew went to the CMA afterparty-and B and I cruised the strip.  We aren't huge country fans, so we skipped out.  Next day, the boys went golfing whiile we hung at our place with the kiddos.  They kids had SUCH a good time together...they really are all great friends.  Oh, and we all stayed in a huge house together...definetly the way to do it...a 7 bedroom, 7000 sq foot house with pool, hot tub and tennis court.  The kids all brought their scooters and just had a blast together.  Next night, ate at  the Rain Forest Cafe, all 16 of us.  Next day was the girls day out...we had a nice lunch and massages while the boys had kid duty at home.  Our last night there, we had a sitter again and ate at Olive's, in the Bellagio, overlooking the water show...a favorite place.  After dinner we cruised the strip and went to that outdoor bar at Harrah's and listened to music and had some cocktails.  Welll....everyone ELSE had cocktails.  Being 6+ months preggers in Vegas calls for a way more mellower vacation.  Still totally fun, but a little wierd (for me) to be the constant sober one.  :)  I think this trip just may need to be an annual vacation for us all! :)
